Technical Lead | Quantum Hardware

My client is a leading developer of cryogenic hardware solutions that enable cutting-edge research and innovation within the quantum technology and scientific instrumentation sectors. Their products support some of the world's most complex technical environments, helping customers solve challenging engineering and research problems.

They are seeking a technically strong, customer-facing professional to build long-term relationships with key enterprise customers, understand evolving technology requirements, and act as a trusted advisor on future infrastructure and product needs. This role combines deep technical engagement with strategic customer collaboration, working closely with both customers and internal engineering teams to shape long-term technology roadmaps.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead technical discussions with strategic customers and understand their long-term technology requirements

• Build trusted relationships with customer engineering, research, and leadership teams

• Support roadmap discussions and align future customer needs with product capabilities

• Act as the primary technical advisor during customer engagements

• Collaborate with internal engineering, product, and commercial teams

• Identify opportunities for deeper technical collaboration and solution development

• Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies within the quantum and advanced technology sectors

Key Requirements:

• MSc or PhD in Applied Physics, Engineering Physics, Physics, or a related technical discipline, or significant industry experience in quantum technologies

• Experience within quantum computing, cryogenics, scientific instrumentation, advanced hardware, or related technical fields

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

• Ability to translate complex technical concepts for a variety of audiences

• Experience working directly with customers, partners, or external stakeholders

• Scientific research, R&D, applications engineering, systems engineering, or technical consulting background preferred

• Knowledge of cryogenic systems, quantum hardware, or low-temperature technologies is advantageous
