Experimental Physicist - Photonic Quantum Computing
About This Role
About Us
We've developed a novel quantum error correction architecture with significant structural advantages over existing approaches, backed by formal mathematical proofs and initial hardware validation on a commercial photonic QPU. We're hiring our first experimental physicist to lead the full hardware demonstration program.
What You'll Do
• Implement and optimize a proprietary gate set on reconfigurable photonic processors
• Design and run hardware experiments to validate error correction performance
• Characterize gate fidelity, error rates, and correction thresholds on physical hardware
• Co-author publications on results
Requirements
• PhD in experimental physics, quantum optics, or photonic quantum computing
• Hands-on experience with reconfigurable photonic processors
• Experience with at least one of: Perceval, Strawberry Fields, PennyLane, or equivalent
• Published work in quantum optics or photonic quantum information
Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
Work Location: Remote
