Research Associate – Quantum Atomic Magnetometers
About This Role
Job Summary
The Research Associate will support research and application of
quantum atomic magnetometers. The role requires experience in
quantum sensors, atomic magnetometers, and magnetometer arrays,
with sensor integration experience preferred. The position
collaborates with the Principal Investigator (PI), students, and
research staff to design, plan, conduct, and coordinate experiments
and develop integrated sensor systems.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
• Support design and development of magnetometers and
magnetometer experiments.
• Contribute to the execution of major research tasks.
• Prepare and deliver progress reports to the Principal
Investigator and project sponsors.
What You Should Know
• This is a part-time, 49% appointment.
• Due to the nature, scope and sponsor of the work, the position
is limited to only U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents,
refugees, and asylees, with the ability to obtain and maintain a
U.S. security clearance.

What We Can Offer
• The annual salary for this part-time position is $63,700 -
71,050.

What We Require
• PhD in Physics or a related field.
• Proven experience designing quantum atomic magnetometers and
arrays.

• Demonstrated critical-thinking and organizational
abilities.
• Ability to work independently toward research goals.
