About This Role

The Quantum Collaborative Research Corps (QCoR) at the University of Maryland – College Park is seeking highly motivated applicants for multiple Postdoctoral and Research Scientist positions to conduct cutting-edge research at the LPS Qubit Collaboratory (LQC). These positions offer an exciting opportunity to work on advancing quantum technologies in a collaborative and interdisciplinary research environment.

Available Positions:

• Superconducting Qubits and Quantum Processors: Develop and optimize superconducting qubits, explore novel quantum processor architectures and qubit control paradigms, and improve coherence and gate fidelities.

• Molecular Beam Epitaxy of Quantum Materials: Grow and study high-purity quantum materials using molecular beam epitaxy (MBE) for applications in next-generation quantum devices.

• Spin Qubit Devices and Quantum Processors: Design, fabricate, and test semiconductor-based spin qubit devices and contribute to the development of scalable quantum processors

• Advanced Lithography for Qubits: Establishing processes and techniques for lithography to minimize fabrication-induced loss in the qubits

Qualifications:

• Ph.D. in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.

• Experience in one or more of the research areas listed above.

• Strong background in experimental techniques relevant to quantum devices and materials.

• Demonstrated ability to conduct independent research and collaborate in a team environment.

• This position involves federally funded research subject to U.S. government access and security requirements. Employment eligibility is limited to individuals who can meet these requirements.
